I hope Kris…………Adam already has a record deal……….and he can only sing one way SCREAMING………..he may be good to some people but I have read other web sites and the screaming gets to some after awhile….
Adam has a great personality…and not bad looking…..but Kris has more musical talent.

I think Adam is the BEST that has ever been on American Idol. It will be a tragedy if he doesn’t win. We all need to remember we are voting on the Best Singer to feel the role of American Idol 2009. GO ADAM!!!!!!!!!!

I was so disapointed with Gokey leaving that it is not much of a show left for me.. I do like Adam, but the sounds of Gokey was amazing!!

Well, Danny leaving was great, now he won’t be tied to A.I., Kris won’t win (wish he could)…so all that’s left is Adam. (As with some of the other winners he will just kinda fade away). The others won’t.

I agree that Adam will not amount to much, unless on Broadway… I do not appreciate his screeching and wish that Danny would have won. Kris is cute and current and I hope that he wins. I agree that it is actually a good thingthat Danny is not tied to AI. He will not be warped as much as the others… look at Daughtry…not molded into AI… Best of luck to Kris!!!

I have a problem with the concept of someone moving ahead because they are improving. I mean, shouldn’t they already be on top of their game to begin with?? But, they will all have contracts, and I disagree that Adam will fade away. A great agent, and the sky's the limit! He's a natural star in his genre. I love Gokey. I look forward to him having a wonderful career. And, I hope Allison makes an album of standards. Kris, I just never connected with.

Adam is not attractive, but he obviously thinks that he is. David Cook is leaps and bounds better than Adam in attractiveness, talent and emotional connection.
Adam is freakish, fake, lizard-like and cannot check his over-inflated ego at the door.

Kris is humble, original, and more relevant to the pop world than Adam. If I can't vote for Danny, I am voting for Kris. Anyone but Adam.

Adam is relevant as a musical theatre performer. I don’t believe that androgynous glam rock is making a comeback these days. Not with Jason Mraz, John Meyer,… on the scene.

Kris is more now. Danny is the most versatile.

Don't know what you mean about 'album of standards'? Do you mean 'remakes' or what? Anyway Allison will make 'originals'.She should have been in the finale. Gokey will do RnB. Kris has definitely crept up and I thought from the beginning he wasn't that good but time and time again hes done really well and it surprised me. And he has fans obviously but Adam will win. STILL missing Allison ..But go Adam! Go win it! VOTE ADAM!

I watch the delayed telecast here in Thailand even though I new the result from email....and all I can is America you should be ashamed of yourselves..you've voted out the only true singer in the show....we are not watching American Idol anymore, it's just become America's next top model....maybe and just maybe Adam is getting votes for at least trying to sing….but I think we all know why Kris is through judging on all the 5 to 10 year old fans that turned out for him on his home town....maybe it's about time American Idol became World Idol and voting was open and not just in America...because it sure would have been a Danny/Adam final if that had been the case....you know you have the gift Danny and you know their is life after the show...for you anyway…so chill out and let's see the first album ASAP.

Adam has no competition now that Danny is gone. Adam is a true entertainer and is in a class all his own. He has always been way ahead of all the others. I'm surprised he hasn't already been discovered. Kris is a o.k. singer and cute but not a better singer than Adam. He will go far all of the top singers will do very well.

So glad that Danny is gone. His singing was so labored, he certainly couldn't sing as easily and as well as Adam. Not sure why He made it seem like such hard work and then after all that effort it really wasn’t that great. Oh well, he's gone.

Kris is ok but just average.

Obviously I'm an Adam fan, an older American 60+, and I have downloaded all his AI performances and the studio cuts. I will buy his CD's and hopefully attend his shows.

We are a wide range of admirers, from the young to the old. So everyone be sure and vote next week for Adam. He is one in a million.

Kris is very talented, plays piano, guitar, probably keyboard and bass guitar as well but I'm just not excited when he sings, I don't look forward to his performance each week.

Adam so far, he has the best talent, and he not bad looking, he has manners, and never has been dis respectful to the judges, he takes his criticizing that Simon gives him and works with it, he does not scream, I have heard bands like Queen ,Prince is a screamer and plenty more ,adam wil sell lots of albums and follow chris daughtry , in his success ,so good by gokey fans you were not very nice people , let the show be and vote for talent not good looks ,when taylor hicks won ,that was the worst idol i have ever seen , so go adam you are the next elvis !! ilove your voice and so does my 5 yr old and my husband ,, go adam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The American Idol 2009 Top 5 elimination results saw the departure Matt Giraud. This is not surprising. What most viewers could not accept is the fact that Adam Lambert was in the last two!

The same voters who voted out Christopher Adam Daughtry in the fifth season of American Idol in 2006 must be at it again!

Let's see what other viewers have to say:

1)....It is a trick. They would like to draw more people to watch the show and in doing so, they used Adam Lambert when for sure that 95% of the votes belongs to him...

2)....I would say america got it wrong as far as the bottom three but fans have nothing to do with it,if we think our vote counts were all nuts.They put the best in the whole competition in the bottom three,adam that is.Give me a break....

3)....Are you kidding me? Adam in the bottom two, has the world gone crazy? He was used to get higher rating, everyone know it’s not even really a competition. Adam is the most talented idol that has ever been on the show!!!....

Last week we said good bye to Lil and Anoop with little surprise from many viewers. The competition from now on would be fierce and exciting. Pressure would be really on for the American Idol 2009 Top 5. As at today, indications are that many fans are still supporting the charismatic Adam Lambert.

This week the theme is going to be the of the so-called "Rat Pack" made famous in the Sixties by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis. This would be great for those in their 60s and 70s.

The second round of American Idol 2009 Top 7 performances would be exciting because with the first ever Judges’ Save of Matt Giraud last week the group of 7 would sing a whole new set of songs on Tuesday and two of them would be eliminated on Wednesday. The pressure will be heavy on the singers this week!

This time the Top 7 singers will have to do songs from the selections of the Disco era.

We will get to see last season’s runner-up, David Archuleta, performing his single “A Little Too Not Over You.”

After saying good bye to Megan Joy from American Idol 2009, we are left with the season's finalists pool of Top 8. Last week's theme of "top downloads" saw the performers' more creative sides and Adam Lambert again wowed the judges and the fans.

For this coming Tuesday's show the song selections would be from the year of the singer's birth. Considering the youngest of the bunch, Allison, is just 16 that means she could play a song from Nirvana's catalog.

Kellie Pickler would be our next guest star on Wednesday singing “Best Days of Your Life”. Can’t wait to see her perform again!

Simon called Adam's performance on a completely different level than all the other performances tonight. Lambert's performance might be the best out of the entire Season 8—yes, this is only the first week. His vocals were spot-on, his use of lighting and effects were perfect. Lambert will be around for a very long time in this competition.

The 26-year-old theater actor from Los Angeles seamlessly impressed the panel — and eclipsed his 12 co-finalists — with an energized rendition of the tune "Black or White" during Tuesday's Michael Jackson-themed performance show.

"You've got the whole package going on," Paula Abdul exclaimed following Lambert's performance.

After informing Matt Giruad that he had been given the 12th spot in the Top 12, to the shock of many, the judges rescued a dejected Anoop Desai with the news that there would be a Top 13 instead.

Contestant Katrina Darrell Made Headlines

Contestant Katrina Darrell made headlines and became a YouTube star after she showed up for "Idol's" Phoenix, Ariz. auditions wearing an itsy-bitsy bikini and planted a big kiss on host Ryan Seacrest.

Simon Cowell's eyes bugged out as the tanned Darrell flounced into the audition room and launched into warbly rendition of Mariah Carey's"Vision of Love."

And that's when new judge Kara DioGuardi had had enough.

She belted out a few bars herself telling Darrell she had no swing. "Honestly, you don't have the chops to sing that song, sweetie," DioGuardi said.

Not missing a beat, Darrell shot back,"But your demonstration wasn't any better."

Ouch! DioGuardi and Paula Abdul both shot out of their seats and it looked like "Idol's" new judge might get into a serious belting battle with the bikini singer – but the ever-nurturing Abdul stepped in.

Despite Abdul and DioGuardi's calling her singing "terrible," Darrell made it through to Hollywood – so we might still see that showdown.

Kara DioGuardi joins the ranks of Randy, Paula and Simon as the fourth 'American Idol' judge.

A singer/songwriter plucked out of semi-obscurity by "American Idol" producers to shake up the judging panel on the hit show, Kara DioGuardi she sometimes intentionally goes up against Simon Cowell to keep contestants in the competition.

DioGuardi said she's more lenient than Cowell at giving second chances in auditions. Often, she told reporters yesterday, she knew Cowell would cut someone in whom she saw potential, and she voted against him, saving the contestant for another day.

David Cook, The American Idol

Cook was the lead singer and guitarist of the band Axium from 1999 until 2006. He formed Axium in his junior year of high school with drummer Bobby Kerr. One of the band's songs, "Hold", was picked up by AMC Theatres Movie Tunes and was played before previews on over 20,000 screens nationwide. Axium was also named one of the top 15 independent bands in the country in the "Got Milk?" independent band contest, and it was chosen as the best band in Kansas City in 2004.

In 2006, after the breakup of Axium, Cook relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and joined the regional touring band Midwest Kings, playing guitar, bass, and singing backup vocals. He recorded one EP, Incoherent with Desire to Move On, with the band in 2006.

Cook released a solo independent album, Analog Heart, in 2006, for which he also designed the artwork. The album was chosen as the fourth-best CD released in 2006 by website Music Equals Life. Cook also won the Urban Tulsa Weekly's "Absolute Best of Tulsa" award for "Best Locally Produced, Independent Album" in 2007. He had completed recording his sophomore album before his appearance on American Idol. Over the weekend of April 18 to April 20, 2008, Analog Heart was listed as the number one album for "Today's Top MP3 Albums" on Amazon.com. Soon there after, the album was removed from Amazon. His musical influences include Our Lady Peace, Alice in Chains, Big Wreck, Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell, Switchfoot, Bon Jovi and Collective Soul.

Cook auditioned for American Idol in Omaha, Nebraska, performing Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer." He originally did not plan to try out for the show; he came to the auditions initially to support his younger brother Andrew (who did not make it to Hollywood) and then, at his brother's urging, David tried out himself. For his first Hollywood audition, Cook performed "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" by Bryan Adams, accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. On the second song in Hollywood, he sang "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain.

Cook took advantage of the decision to allow contestants to play musical instruments. Besides his Hollywood audition, he also accompanied himself on electric guitar for his performances of "All Right Now," "Hello," "Day Tripper," "I'm Alive," "Baba O'Riley," "Dare You to Move," and "Dream Big," and on acoustic guitar for "Little Sparrow," "All I Really Need Is You," and "The World I Know." His white, left-handed Gibson Les Paul electric guitar has the letters "AC" on it; as Cook told TV Guide, "I have two brothers, Adam and Andrew. So, because of superstition, I put their initials on everything growing up." Since the Top 12 week, he has also been wearing an orange wristband to support a 7-year-old fan, Lindsey Rose, with leukemia.

Cook's performance of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" was highly praised by all three judges, especially Simon Cowell. Cowell later said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the performance "was in a different league to anything we've heard on the season so far," and although he knew where the arrangement came from (Chris Cornell's remake of the Michael Jackson original), "that doesn't really matter." The performance has received well over 4.5 million views on YouTube.

Cook's rendition of Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby" was also highly praised, receiving a standing ovation from Randy Jackson. Another of Cook's performances, The Beatles' "Day Tripper", was credited to Whitesnake. Seattle-based band Doxology has claimed that Cook's performance of The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" was based on a version the band recorded over a year ago.[30] On April 1, before performing his self-arranged rendition of Dolly Parton's "Little Sparrow" on American Idol, Cook responded to Ryan Seacrest in the interview session, revealing that his performance of "Eleanor Rigby" was based on Neil Zaza's and Doxology's versions.

He also reiterated the credits of Whitesnake and Chris Cornell. Despite the controversy, critics praised Cook for choosing versions of songs that fit his vocal style.[31][32][33] His arrangements of "Hello," "Little Sparrow," "Always Be My Baby," "All I Really Need Is You," "Baba O'Riley," "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" and "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" were original arrangements.

Cook won the seventh season of American Idol on May 21, 2008, receiving 56% of the votes, with 12 million votes over David Archuleta as the runner-up. Cook then sang "The Time of My Life", the winning song of the 2008 American Idol Songwriter's Competition.

During the finale, Cook appeared in a commercial for the game franchise Guitar Hero, mimicking Tom Cruise in Risky Business. Fellow finalist David Archuleta appeared in a separate commercial parodying the same scene. Both commercials were directed by Brett Ratner.

'American Idol' top 12 finals contestants party it up

We now have our top twelve (Amanda Overmyer, Brooke White, Carly Smithson, Chikezie, David Archuleta, David Cook, David Hernandez, Jason Castro, Kristy Lee Cook, Michael Johns, Ramiele Malubay and Syesha Mercado) and a very worthy crew this is.

But with the endgame developing, I share these "Idol" thoughts with you this morning, reserving the right to change them at a moment's notice the minute someone comes up with reasonable counterarguments.

How thrilled can "Idol" producers be that...David Archuleta is a such a ridiculous front-runner? They certainly have an idea at this point who they want to win - that is, who will ultimately sell the most stuff for RCA Records, Planet 19, and the 1001 other entities that exploit winners of this show. Archie's gotta be close or at the top of their list. But being the presumptive winner this early the game is not good because everyone assumes it's already over, so why vote for him anyway?

How thrilled can "Idol" producers be that....Carly Smithson might eventually pull this out? Everyone, or most everyone, deserves a second act in show biz, and Carls is getting her's now, (and she deserves it, given her evident talent.) But she sold like ten, or was it nine, albums when she had that big multi-million dollar contract for MCA last century. Will she do better with a new record label, or...?

How thrilled can "Idol" producers be that...David Hernandez might win? I think the guy's one of the most talented of the field, so he has a shot. But that stripper past..."Idol" producers say (or pretend that it) "doesn't matter." But what about Coke? I wonder how those guys feel? The winner's gotta represent their interests too (along with that of many other sponsors.) What's Coke's slogan these days? "The Coke Side of Life." I wonder if the Coke Side of Life includes lap-dancing?

How thrilled can "Idol" producers be that...Michael Johns is the winner? Fine singer, certainly, and plenty of talent. He has a real shot too. But he was born in Perth, Australia and still has a passable Aussie accent. It's a wonderful thing, but this is "AMERICAN Idol" is it not? Wonder how they'd feel down under if an American contestant rose to the top of Australia's "Idol" edition. I'll tell you how they'd feel - outraged! (That's the Aussies for you.) No one here'll care too much, but if Carls and Michael reach the top final two, can this show reasonably be named " American Idol" this season?

American idol contestant a strip tease performer?

David Hernandez who has been scrutinized the past few days because of an old job he used to have stripping as a dancer at an all male club years ago is finally speaking. Here is what he tells EW.com, "American Idol contestant David Hernandez has finally broken his silence on press reports that he performed nude, reportedly for a "mostly male" clientele, at a Phoenix, Arizona, strip club called Dick's Cabaret. "You know, honestly, I'm here to sing," Hernandez told EW.com at the Idol Top 12 party in West Hollywood on March 6. The singer appeared cool-headed and relaxed, despite the controversy. "I think America's judging us all off of our voices right now. Obviously they were, because I'm still in the Top 12, thank God. So I'm not really concerned with what's going on [with those reports]. I'm just focused on singing, because that's what I'm here to do."

We say, exactly. Who cares what ANY of them did before Idol-they are here to sing and we agree with America-the top 12 chosen is the best to date we think!

American Idol season 8 - Top 24

Well that's it. Simon, Paula, and Randy have picked the American Idol Top 24 contestants; 12 men and 12 women. There were really only a few surprises. I'm sure no one was shocked that Carly Smithson or Amanda Overmyer made it. In fact all of the women were either pretty much what I expected or else women that I really didn’t remember too much about. The only woman I was disappointed about was Cardin McKinney. I really liked her a lot but, she did not have a very good week in Hollywood. The biggest surprise on the men's side was Josiah Leming. I think they made the right decision. He had a great voice but he needs a few more years of experience or maybe maturity before he can consistently perform. Simon gave David Hernandez a stiff warning. He basically told him that he disagreed with Randy and Paula, and David was going to have to work really hard if he wanted any chance to win the competition. To me this means that David is not going to be around too long.
